REIFF ensures clean drinking water

REIFF Technische Produkte has the Aquapal® drinking water hose from Contitech in the range for the challenging use of conveying drinking water.

The drinking water regulations of the European Union have been applicable in Germany since 2003. The transport of water intended for human consumption is subject to these regulations.
Hoses and hose lines are very important as part of drinking water supplies. They are always used if a permanent installation is not possible or is not worthwhile. For example, in the case of events, flooding,...
It is particularly important to use materials in perfect hygienic condition. The materials used must neither harm human health nor change the odour and taste of the water.

Exactly tested for the health
In order to meet the high requirements and guarantee faultless water transport, the finished product is tested according to various technical regulations. 
DIN 2000 specifies that the water must only come into contact with substances which do not influence its quality. Or the DVGW (German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water) worksheet W 270 and the KTW (Contact with Drinking Water) guideline which specify an examination for microbial harmlessness. The hoses must meet the strictest hygiene requirements.

High requirements for the quality
Hoses which are used for the temporary transport of drinking water are often used outdoors. They are exposed to many different conditions there. Running over by vehicles, strong sunlight, large temperature fluctuations. A good drinking water hose must withstand these.
Therefore, resistance to cold and heat (from -20 to +65 °C), strong pressure and various cleaning and disinfection materials is required.

Only water hoses which have been tested on behalf of the DVGW and are identified with a test mark are suitable for the transport of drinking water. The Aquapal® water hose from Contitech has this distinction and is thus predestined for use with drinking water.
